Real Results

Patios restored to like-new

A real Kent job — a slippery, algae-covered patio brought back to a safe, clean, like-new finish.

Why It Matters

Green patios are slippery patios

Patios take the worst of the shade and damp, so algae, moss and black spot build up quickly — and a green patio isn't just unsightly, it's genuinely slippery underfoot. A proper clean makes the whole garden or seating area usable again, and safe for kids and older visitors.

We clean patios across Folkestone, Hythe, Sandgate, Hawkinge and the surrounding Kent villages.

What's Included

  • Pre-treatment of moss, algae and black spot

  • Even, stripe-free finish across the whole area
  • Joints and edges detailed by hand
  • Optional biocide treatment to slow regrowth
  • Rinsed down and left tidy

Surfaces We Clean

Sandstone, porcelain, concrete & natural stone

Indian sandstone, porcelain, limestone, concrete slabs, natural stone and pattern-imprinted concrete all need slightly different handling. Softer natural stone gets a gentler soft wash rather than high pressure, so it comes up clean without pitting or damage. We pick the right method for your patio and treat it accordingly.

How We Work

Our patio cleaning process

  1. Assess. We check the surface type and condition and choose the safest effective method.
  2. Pre-treat. Moss, algae and black spot are treated so they lift cleanly.
  3. Clean. Pressure or soft wash for an even finish, with edges and joints detailed by hand.
  4. Protect. An optional biocide treatment helps keep it cleaner for longer.

Common Questions

Patio Cleaning FAQs

Will pressure washing damage my patio slabs?

Not when it's matched to the surface. Hard surfaces like concrete take a normal pressure clean; softer natural stone such as sandstone or limestone gets a gentler soft wash so it isn't pitted or marked. We choose the right method for your patio before we start.

Can you remove black spot from patio slabs?

We treat black spot (the stubborn dark lichen spots) and lift most of it. It's one of the toughest things to shift and very heavy cases don't always come back 100%, but we'll tell you honestly what to expect for your slabs.

Do you clean natural stone and porcelain?

Yes — Indian sandstone, porcelain, limestone, natural stone and concrete slabs. Porcelain cleans up beautifully and natural stone gets a gentler soft wash to protect the surface.

Will the green and moss come back?

We remove it all and can apply a biocide treatment that slows regrowth considerably. Outdoors nothing stays green-free forever, but a proper clean plus treatment keeps it back a long time and makes upkeep easy.

How much does patio cleaning cost?
